Burnley lost 2-1 at home to Nottingham Forest, undone inside the first quarter of an hour. Chris Wood scored twice in the opening 14 minutes, and Forest spent the rest of the afternoon defending a lead they took before Burnley had settled. Burnley had 73% of the ball and 20 shots to show for it. Josh Cullen pulled one back in the 72nd, but it was a consolation, not a comeback. There is a particular frustration in dominating everything except the scoreboard, and Burnley lived it for 90 minutes. Forest did the simple things well and took their early chances.
